Prescription Assistance Program (Medication Assistance Program)
The Prescription Assistance Program (PAP), also referred to as Medication Assistance Program allows qualified patients to apply to pharmaceutical companies requesting needed medication for free.
DataNet Solutions provides two versions of Patient Assistance Program software solutions.
1) MedServices WebPAP
This is a web based Patient Assistance Program service available to medical professionals who wish to assist their patients in ordering their medications online. No software is required to be installed on your local computer. You only need a web browser and internet connection. Our web based Patient Assistance Program offers the following:
- Pre-qualify the patient
- List of all drugs and programs available
- Step by Step guidance in the application process
- Drug Interaction and Duplicate Therapy checking
- Instructions on how to take your medication
- Instructions on completing the application process such as mailing instructions etc.
- Stores information for easy re-ordering
- Set reminders on when to re-order medication
2) MedServices WinPAP
This is a Windows based Patient Assistance Program application that you install on your local computer or network. It allows for multiple users to connect at a single time. No internet connection is required except for daily updates of applications.
Track when an application was submitted, the current status and when the drugs are received. You can print a custom letter advising the patient that the medication has arrived in your clinic.
Includes batch re-ordering and printing of applications. When you choose to re-order apps, you are asked for a date range for applications that need to be re-ordered. There are no limits to the number of applications that can be ordered at one time. You can re-order 75 applications at a single time, you can print them immediately or choose to print later. You may choose to print to a dedicated print server or schedule them to print when you leave for the day and have the apps waiting on you the following morning.
Our Patient Assistance Program is fully integrated with our Prescription module. Pharmacies may use our prescription software to fill scripts, print labels, patient education handouts etc. With one click of a button, the Patient Assistance Application is automatically printed along with the prescription.
There are hundreds of different Pharmaceutical applications which are kept current on a weekly basis. With our built in Live Update, you will stay current with all the applications.
